Mark did an excellent job of restoring the top of my sideboard at a very reasonable price. I cannot praise him highly enough and would thoroughly recommend him to anyone who wants quality work on precious furniture

Mark is a true professional and craftsman. Most recently, he worked on our family home (a 1930s house) restoring colour and a fantastic smooth finish to our original stair bannister, newel posts and oak doors as part of our sensitive restoration project. The project greatly benefited from Marks knowledge and experience, working collaboratively alongside our main contractor and then returning to provide finishing touches directly after completion. He has also sensitively and traditionally restored several pieces of period furniture to an amazing finish. One sun damaged the other the slight worse for wear after being in storage. Wow! Mark worked his magic on our dusty and damaged decorative cabinet - to our amazement he unearthed intricate artwork beneath the years of it being an unloved dusty, knocked about family piece and damage/dents disappeared in front of our eyes. It’s now back to being a stunning piece of furniture; we should have made contact with Mark much earlier. His work is truly impressive and we’re definitely working together on several more pieces that require an expert touch, patience and remarkable knowledge of his craft

Mark has recently french polished our walnut staircase and we are delighted with how it has turned out, it is better that we could ever have imagined. Mark is very knowledgeable, attention to detail, easy to deal with, friendly, on time and tidy. We would not hesitate to recommend him.

Mark has sanded and resealed a large wooden floor for us beautifully. The work was done with the minimum of inconvenience to us; and the result is a real tribute to his professional competence. We enjoyed his company (in so far as we were able to whilst respecting social distancing rules!); and he and his son kindly helped us to put the furniture back.

Alyson and I just had our 10 seater dining table repaired and restored by Mark. It originally came out of an old Private School in Dorset and needed a bit of TLC before going back into our dining room. We chose Done and Dusted because Mark impressed us with his knowledge and experience...and he was local. One of the chairs needed extensive repair which was carried out so sympathetically and with such care and professionalism, we cannot tell the difference compared to the others. Over the period of several days Mark carried out the remainder of the restoration to transform our table and chairs back to their former glory. We cannot express our gratitude enough for such a brilliant job being carried out on what we saw as a difficult task and yet Mark took it in his stride with a meticulous attention to detail. Thoroughly recommended.

We are lucky enough to have had our dream house built over the last 2 years and Mark from Done & Dusted has spent a long time French polishing the new staircase.
